Odds and Ends

Just wanted to give a quick update. You can follow my blog tour here. It's pretty much just reviews about Marysvale. As you can tell, I don't update my blog often. I'm a little better with facebook. Don't even ask me about twitter. I think you all know how I feel about that. It's nothing against twitter. It's just I'm not going to post the same things in three different spots.

Okay, back on topic. Alyth is done, except editing, but the cover is finished. You can see it on the facebook link above. So when will it be released? Well, I'm hoping to have it out by October. I think that would be fun since it takes place in that time frame and there is some All Hallow's Eve stuff worked in. However, it could be as late as November. There's a lot of stuff that has to happen between now and then. If you want to be notified when I know something more solid, you can friend the Marysvale site on facebook, or sign up for an email alert on my website www.jaredsouthwick.com

I've been going to some amazing book clubs. There has been great insight from you all about Marysvale. There have been some things and meanings pointed out to me that I hadn't thought about, or noticed. Of course, I simply nod and say, "Oh yeah. I totally meant to do it that way." They are a lot of fun and I really enjoy meeting you all.

Lastly, I want to thank all of you for spreading the word. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it and how much it means to me. So, Thank You!!

Jared,
I just finished Marysvale and absolutely loved it. I am anxious for October to come..... Thanks for signing my book (for Lisa and Carey). They are surely good friends. Way to go on the story line!!

Jared,
I read all 22 5-star reviews on Amazon and agree with each of them…this is a FANTASTIC story! Marysvale kept me up late at night and kept me home from the gym the next morning because I did not want to stop reading. Now I am sorry that I finished it so quickly. I love this book for so many reasons: clean language, no sex, characters with integrity, imaginative, a belief in God, people who love and care for each other…I could go on and on. It is a delight to find a great book that I can recommend to my family, friends and the young woman I work with. Thank you for this great book! I am looking forward to Alyth…but until then I will catch up on my sleep and the gym!

Comments like that make my day. I'm glad you enjoyed it. At least in my mind you had a good reason for passing up the gym. My excuses border on the simply lame to the outrageous. The doughnut made me do it isn't cutting it with my wife anymore.

I just finished Marysvale and couldn't put it down. My husband and kids would look at me funny when I would start laughing for, what seemed like, no reason. I read for almost a whole day straight. The only thing that makes me happy about not finding this book sooner is that its almost October and I won't have to wait to long even if it comes out in November. I rarely buy the books I read, usually the libraryor borrow, but I will definately buy you next book. You have an imagination and a great story telling gift. Please don't ever stop writing.

Sincerely
Charity
